About Art Awards 2025

The 2025 awards are dedicated to the idea of connecting contemporary art with the philosophy of the four elements - water, air, earth, and fire. This concept provides a powerful symbolic framework for the artistic prizes and makes them part of the cultural narrative of Agrigento Capitale Italiana della Cultura 2025. The inspiration comes from the philosophy of the ancient Greek thinker Empedocles, who was born in Agrigento. The four elements symbolize the deep relationship between nature, humanity, and creativity. Through this idea, the awards highlight the power of art as a universal language that connects cultures, ideas, and artistic visions within a global creative space.

Create Beyond Boundaries
The Global Art Vision Award statuette is conceived as a contemporary artistic form inspired by the cultural heritage of Agrigento and the philosophy of the four elements articulated by the ancient Greek thinker Empedocles. The sculpture combines clear and frosted glass, symbolizing light, air, and the openness of the creative space. Fine metallic lines within the form create an abstract sphere reminiscent of a global network of artistic interaction. The upward-flowing silhouette expresses movement, inspiration, and cultural dialogue.
