Anna Mandrikyan
Professional photographer
Interview with Anna Mandrikyan

You are known for your emotional portraits of dogs. Tell us how you came to this direction.
Good afternoon! My professional work is divided into two areas: commercial and creative photography.
I have always loved animals, especially dogs. They are so genuine and spontaneous, and I wanted to capture their emotions in my work. That’s how I began photographing emotional portraits of dogs. I realized that dogs can express a wide range of emotions - not only being cute and funny but also feelings like joy, sadness, surprise, or even fear.
This was a revelation for me, and I decided to dedicate my creative career to creating such portraits.

Your work is known for its depth and expressiveness. How do you manage to convey the emotions of dogs in photographs?
I aim to create a comfortable environment for the dog, ensuring it feels relaxed and free to show its individuality. I take my time and let the dog settle in before I start capturing its essence. This allows me to create authentic portraits that reflect the dog's character and mood.
For instance, if the dog is playful and cheerful, I try to capture it in moments of joy - like wagging its tail or looking at me with a happy expression. On the other hand, if the dog is sad or frightened, I strive to capture its most vulnerable and tender moments, showcasing its unique personality.

You also write scientific articles about photography. What inspires you to conduct this research?
I am fascinated by how photography influences people and evokes emotions. I want to understand the techniques and methods that make this possible. This research helps me improve my work and allows me to share insights with other photographers.
In my articles, I explore various aspects of photography, including composition, lighting, color, and perspective. I also study how different viewers perceive the same images and the emotions these images evoke in them.

Finally, you participate in international exhibitions. What are your goals for taking part in such events?
For me, exhibitions are an opportunity to showcase my work to a wider audience and receive feedback from professionals. They also provide a chance to meet new people, exchange experiences, and find inspiration.
At these events, I can view the work of other photographers, which often sparks new ideas and encourages experimentation. Additionally, exhibitions allow me to stay informed about current trends in the photography industry and connect with colleagues who share my passion.

Thank you very much for the interview! Your work inspires many people, and we look forward to seeing your future projects.
Thank you for your kind words! In the near future, I plan to continue developing my approach to emotional dog portraits while also writing scientific articles. I will also participate in new international exhibitions to share my experiences and gain inspiration from others.
I aim to keep improving my craft to create deeper and more expressive works. Additionally, I am excited to explore new techniques and styles, such as photographing dogs from unusual angles or experimenting with unique lighting setups. I remain open to new ideas and ready to embrace creativity through experimentation.

Nataly Ustinova
Artist

Interview with Nataly Ustinova / UNA (Ustinova Nataly Artistry)

Your creative journey began in 2022. Can you share what prompted you to pursue art at that point in your life?
In 2022, I was going through a challenging period in my personal life and needed something to occupy my heart and mind. I’ve always been drawn to creativity and had long dreamed of becoming an artist. I would often visit galleries, marvel at others’ work, and feel a quiet envy for those who could express their emotions through paint and canvas. One day, I stumbled upon a painting course and decided to give it a try. That decision marked the beginning of my artistic journey.

Your first exhibition was held in Sochi in 2024. Can you tell us about that experience?
My first solo exhibition took place in Sochi, but surprisingly, I wasn’t present in person. A woman familiar with my work offered to display my paintings in her spiritual space, OASIS, where people gathered for various events. Even though I couldn’t attend, I was delighted to know that my art was out in the world, resonating with others. This was a significant milestone for me as an artist and opened new horizons in my creative journey.

Energy paintings play a central role in your practice. Can you explain what an energy painting is?
An energy painting is more than just a piece of art - it’s a form of meditative expression and a portal for those who engage with it. My paintings are designed to awaken hidden emotions, provide access to inner resources, and offer support during challenging times. These works serve as mirrors to personal experiences, becoming a source of energy that brings peace and clarity, helping viewers process their feelings and find answers within themselves.

You’ve mentioned that creating an energy painting involves meditation and alignment with a client’s birth data and name. How do these personal elements shape your artistic process?
When creating an energy painting for someone, I connect deeply with their unique informational field. I enter a meditative state and open myself as a channel for the energy flow. The personal details - such as birth data and name - help me “tune in” to their frequency. This alignment ensures that the painting is not just aesthetically pleasing but also serves as a tool for healing, support, and harmony. It’s like translating their essence into colors and shapes, creating a deeply personal and impactful work.

What emotions or thoughts do you hope to evoke in your audience?
My goal is to help people connect deeply with themselves and develop sensitivity to their inner emotions and states. Through my art, I want viewers to feel unconditional love and acceptance, both from the universe and within themselves. I hope every woman who sees my work feels alive, loved, and empowered to view the world - and her place in it - with fresh eyes.

Your art carries the vibrations of the universe. Can you elaborate on this concept and how you convey it?
As an energy coach, I see myself as a conduit for higher universal vibrations. When I paint, I let go of my ego and enter a state of flow, channeling the purest and highest vibrations of love into my work. Each painting embodies this energy, filling spaces with harmony and light, offering calmness, and fostering a sense of connection to something greater. It’s like the breath of the universe expressed through color and form.

Your work contributes to the empowerment of women. How do you hope it will impact their lives?
My mission is to inspire women to rediscover themselves and embrace their inner strength and confidence. Through my paintings and courses, I show that every individual has the ability to create, heal, and find joy in life’s moments. I believe we are all creators, and when we connect with our true selves, we become more confident, expressive, and free.

Your paintings reach audiences worldwide. How does it feel to know your work resonates with people from different cultures?
It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that my art touches lives across the globe, bridging cultures and traditions. Each painting carries a part of me—my energy and experiences - which I willingly share. The idea that my work can heal and inspire people in diverse corners of the world gives me a profound sense of unity and motivates me to continue creating.

As an artist, what do you envision for your future?
I see my future as a path of constant growth and experimentation. I want to develop new collections, explore unconventional techniques, and delve deeper into the world of energies, translating the ever-changing flow of the universe into my art. I dream of hosting exhibitions on major stages worldwide and sharing my knowledge with others. Empowering women to discover their creative power and self-love through art is a key part of my vision.

Viktoria Shusharina
Artist

Interview with Viktoria Shusharina (VikaSHU)

How did your creative journey begin? Was there a particular moment or experience that led you to collage and AI art?
My creative journey is deeply rooted in a desire to express myself through visual art. Since childhood, I’ve been captivated by various forms of creativity, such as drawing, sewing, and knitting. However, it was only in adulthood that I discovered the art of collage. One day, I picked up some old magazines and realized I could create unique images by combining them.
When I started making my first collages, I experienced a profound sense of creative freedom. It allowed me to bring together scattered ideas and communicate my thoughts and emotions. Collage opened a world where there were no strict rules - I could connect the unconnected. That limitless freedom is what makes collage art so precious to me. As for artificial intelligence, it entered my life due to my curiosity about new technologies and how they could expand creative possibilities. AI intrigued me with its ability to generate surprising, unconventional elements. Collaborating with AI feels like a dialogue with the intangible; while I control the process, the results often carry an unexpected element of serendipity.

How do you integrate artificial intelligence into your creative process, and how does it influence your collage work?
I use artificial intelligence as a tool to explore new visual possibilities and to spark inspiration. When working on a collage, AI helps me generate unexpected visuals - backgrounds, textures, or unique color combinations - that I can integrate into my compositions. It allows me to transcend traditional notions of collage and push creative boundaries.
AI often produces fantastical or surreal objects that enrich my work, infusing it with mysticism, which I find deeply engaging. It has become more than just a tool; it’s like an equal partner, offering ideas and surprises that enhance my creative process.

How has being part of various artistic communities and international clubs influenced your artistic practice?
Being part of creative communities and international clubs has been immensely beneficial. These platforms provide opportunities to collaborate with other artists, learn new techniques, and, most importantly, receive support and inspiration. Observing the work of artists from diverse cultures and perspectives broadens my creative horizons and encourages me to experiment with new ideas.
Additionally, participating in competitions and exhibitions through these communities has given me valuable experience and allowed my work to reach an international audience. It boosts my confidence, motivates me to grow, and provides a sense of belonging in the global art world.
Can you tell us about your live collage workshops? How do they inspire you, and what do you hope participants take away from them?
My live collage workshops are more than just technical sessions - they are creative experiences. I strive to create an environment where participants feel free to experiment, express their emotions, and explore the meditative and therapeutic aspects of collage art.
These workshops inspire me by showcasing the participants' creativity and their ability to combine seemingly unrelated elements into cohesive, innovative compositions. I hope attendees leave not only with a completed artwork but also with a renewed sense of inner freedom, creative confidence, and self-discovery.

Mysticism and the unexplained are recurring motifs in your art. Do you conduct research or draw inspiration from specific sources to explore these themes?
Mysticism and the unknown hold a special place in my art. I draw inspiration from various sources, including books, magazines, and participation in creative challenges or marathons. These activities often spark my imagination, leading to ideas that feel rich with mystery and wonder.

How do you view the relationship between technology and traditional art forms, particularly in your hybrid practice of AI and collage?
I see technology as a powerful extension of traditional art. In my practice, AI brings a fresh perspective to collage by introducing unique, imaginative visuals that would be nearly impossible to create manually. At the same time, the tactile, soulful essence of paper collage remains central to my work. The interplay between digital innovation and traditional materials creates a hybrid art form, where the digital and the physical coexist harmoniously, each enhancing the other.

What challenges have you faced as a collage artist and AI artist?
One of the biggest challenges with AI is unpredictability. The generated images don’t always align with my vision, and achieving the desired outcome often requires patience and multiple iterations. Sometimes, I end up with nothing suitable, or I become so focused on achieving perfection that I lose track of the collage’s original intent. Balancing the spontaneity of AI with the deliberate nature of collage-making is a constant learning process.

If you could collaborate with any artist, living or historical, who would it be and why?
Without a doubt, I would choose Salvador Dalí. Collaborating with him would be an extraordinary experiment, combining his surrealist vision with modern technologies like AI. Together, we could create collages that are not only rich in depth and symbolism but also groundbreaking in their approach. I imagine blending my style with his would result in artworks that transcend conventional boundaries, sparking inspiration and paving the way for new possibilities in art.

Kateryna Doronina
Watercolor artist

Interview with Interview with Kateryna Doronina
Tell us a little about yourself and your creative journey.
My name is Kateryna Doronina, and I am an artist specializing in watercolor painting. I graduated from PJATK University in Warsaw, where I studied New Media Art. My time at the university provided me with a strong technical foundation and taught me how to draw inspiration from new media and modern creative approaches. However, my love for art began long before my academic studies. One of my most vivid childhood memories is meeting my friend's grandmother, who was an artist. She lived in a neighboring house, and one day she agreed to teach me how to draw. That moment became the starting point of my journey into art.

Why did you decide to participate in the Pink Art exhibition, and what inspired your work?
The theme of the exhibition, dedicated to women, resonated deeply with me. It immediately brought to mind my friend's grandmother, who was a remarkable example of strength, patience, and inspiration. Her love for art and her ability to find beauty in simple things left a lasting impression on me. For my piece, I chose to portray her painting flowers. Through this work, I aimed to not only capture her creative process but also evoke the warmth and comfort that surrounded her.

What emotions did you want to convey through your painting?
I sought to express sincerity and reverence for the creative moment. My painting is not merely a portrait; it is an attempt to bring cherished memories and emotions to life. I wanted to depict how a simple act, such as painting flowers, can reflect a profound connection to both nature and art.
What was your reaction to participating in the exhibition?
Participating in the Pink Art exhibition was an incredible experience! The event was a unique gathering of artists from all over the world, showcasing their work and exchanging ideas. I felt honored to be part of such a meaningful occasion. The feedback I received was deeply touching. People found parts of their own stories in my work, and that connection is the greatest reward any artist can receive.

Why do you think it is so important to address the topic of women in art?
Women have always been a powerful source of inspiration in art, yet their contributions have often been overlooked or undervalued. It is essential to highlight their strength, beauty, and influence through creative expression. Art is a way to tell stories, and I hope that projects like Pink Art will inspire other artists to create works that emphasize the vital role of women in culture and history.

What are your future plans?
I am currently preparing for my next major event, an exhibition at Art Week Miami 2024. This international competition, titled Travel to Art, will focus on ocean ecology, a theme that is very close to my heart. Living in a coastal city, I am deeply connected to the ocean—it is a source of inspiration and a place of harmony for me. Through my artwork, I aim to raise awareness about the need to protect this unique ecosystem and demonstrate how art can serve as a tool for positive change.

What inspired you to focus on the theme of ocean ecology?
The ocean represents life and freedom. Living near it, I witness its beauty and power daily, but I am also acutely aware of its vulnerability. Its vivid colors, intricate textures, and rhythmic sounds inspire me, and I strive to capture this atmosphere in my work. Through my paintings, I hope to encourage people to reflect on the importance of preserving the ocean and its fragile ecosystem for future generations.

What advice would you give to artists just starting out?
Don’t be afraid to express yourself and experiment with new techniques. Your art is a reflection of your unique story, and that’s what makes it special. Work hard, seek inspiration wherever you can, and, most importantly, never give up—no matter the challenges you face. Every step you take brings you closer to discovering your voice as an artist.

I am Vakhtang Egiazarov (Vakho FX), a professional photographer from Tbilisi, Georgia. I graduated from the Yuri Akopov Academy of Photography.
What genre of photography are you interested in?
I have been practicing photography for 16 years across various genres. Over this time, I realized that I needed something new, more exciting, and creative. While I have professional expertise in studio photography, I still prefer natural and candid shots over staged ones. This preference is what brought "street photography" into my life and work.

How do you find interesting personalities and stories?
I often head out to the streets with my camera, observing people and searching for compelling compositions.

Do you get consent from strangers before posting their photos on social media?

You have traveled to other countries. What attracts you to photography during your travels?
I have traveled to Italy, Armenia, Spain, and Poland. I am particularly drawn to the culture and everyday life of different countries. During my travels, I aim to capture unique people, architectural landmarks, and urban landscapes with my camera.

In celebration of my anniversary in street photography and the release of my 100th video, I held two solo exhibitions. The subjects of my videos were invited to these events, which provided a wonderful opportunity for us to meet and build friendships. In addition to solo exhibitions, I also participate in group and online exhibitions, both locally and internationally.

What are your projects and goals for the near future?
I plan to continue traveling, exploring the traditions and lifestyles of different cultures, and delving deeper into their customs. I also aspire to publish a book where I will share my personal perspectives on photography with readers.
